Hello Flex and Flow Family! It’s Dr. Kate. I’m our community’s Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist! I wanted to say hello to our continuing members and introduce myself to those of you who are new to our community. As a member of the studio, you receive many perks and one of them is discounted Naturopathic care and Acupuncture! WHAT?? Yes, it’s true!
I offer a variety of wellness care to you, my Flex and Flow Community, but am choosing to focus today’s blog on acupuncture as it’s my preferred modality of treatment. I feel it’s the most effective way to combine all of my training AND treat the underlying cause of whatever ails you. I see patients on Wednesdays from 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 2-7 p.m at the studio.
I bet you’re asking yourself (especially if you’ve never had acupuncture) what things might acupuncture help to heal? Very good question. Acupuncture can help to:
- improve quality and duration of sleep
- reduce stress
- decrease body pain
- improve fertility
- balance hormones and neurotransmitters
- regulate menstrual cycle
- improve digestion
- ease anxiety/depression
- improve symptoms associated with certain autoimmune diseases and cancers
I suggest acupuncture for most anything that ails a person. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I also work with patients on adopting the appropriate diet, vitamin and mineral supplementation, sleep and stress hygiene.
So all that being said, when can you see me? YET ANOTHER great question! On Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. I offer something called Community Acupuncture. Community Acupuncture is a format where I treat multiple patients simultaneously in our studio space. Patients will occupy the studio space together and are treated on a first come first serve basis. Treatments are for 45 minutes, and attendees lie on yoga mats on the floor to be treated. This is a great way to try acupuncture if you’ve never had it AND allows for me to offer care to patients at a highly reduced rate. In a Community Acupuncture setting, you make an appointment through my website online: Tend Natural Health, print and fill out new patient paperwork, and then bring it with you to the studio. During your appointment, we’ll speak briefly about your history, and then I’ll treat you with acupuncture needles, moxa (a warming herb typically warmed over acupuncture points on the body), or massage. Please make your appointment 48 hours in advance of your Saturday visit.
In additional, I see individual patients for longer, more focused treatments on Wednesday afternoons from 2-5 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m on Saturdays. This cost is $150 for a 90 minute new patient visit or $135 for Flex and Flow auto-renew membership holders. Follow-up one hour visits are $95 or $75 for Flex and Flow members.
My sweaty family, I’m so excited to be able to offer these services to you and hope you’ll come work with me if/when it interests you. If you have any questions, concerns, excitements, or other thoughts, I’d love to hear from you! Please contact me here: email@example.com
Yours in Health & ALL THE SWEAT!
