Weekly Updates: January 23 – 29

If yoga mats could talk, then your mat’s most likely saying, “WOAH, the sweat was real this week!”. It felt like we worked every muscle and did every yoga pose this week. From twists and binds to backbends and hamstrings – y’all did it all. Thanks for joining us for another amazing, sweat-filled week at Flex & Flow!

All the flows

There’s nothing like a week of dynamic flows. There wasn’t one theme for the week because we did it all. In class on Sunday, Liz rocked all the hip flexor and backbend poses and we all felt so open and ready for the week to come.

Over the course of the week, we twisted, bound our arms in so many ways, stretched our hamstrings for days, worked our core muscles like woah, and had the best time doing it! What was your favorite pose or class of the week?

Morning miles.

We had such a strong lady-crew come out to our Saturday Run Club this weekend (including Abbie the Vizsla and Emery the baby). 6+ miles for these runners and better for it – way to get after those miles, ladies!

This week, we’re trail running in Forest Park. We’ll be running Holman Lane, so get ready for all the hills! Meet us at the studio at 6:30 AM or at the Lief Erikson trailhead at 7:00 AM for 3-6 miles of hiking or running. Any questions? Slow Flow & Reiki.

Looking to find more ease and release? Alissa is leading her Slow Flow & Reiki class on Sunday, February 11 at 7:15 pm. Join us for this 2-hour session that will involve a slow, warming flow, followed by restorative poses, and a personal Reiki treatment from Alissa.

Due to time, space, and energy, this class is open to only 12 guests. This special class is $35. Make sure to reserve your spot soon – it fills up very quickly!

Float with Ian.

Join Ian LeMasters on Sunday, 2/18 at 12 pm for a workshop on the art of floating and transitions. Learn how to practice moving from the front to the back of your mat without jumping, while cultivating a deeper awareness of the core and strengthening the whole body. All levels welcome, be ready to play and have fun in your practice! This workshop is $35.
