Weekly Updates: January 30 – February 5

New month, new workshops, and the same fun and supportive community at Flex & Flow! This week, y’all worked hard on the mat and the trails, but most importantly, you stayed true to your wants and needs in your practice. What we’re trying to say is that this yoga practice is not a one-size-fits-all kind of deal; everyone and every body is different and what you do and how you move on the yoga mat will be different and your own. So keep doing you and know that if you’re breathing and feeling good, then you’re doing yoga.

A family affair

Speaking of yoga being for everyone, check out Kelly and her two sweet daughters rocking crow pose after Josephine’s class on Sunday. The girls rocked their yoga practice and were up for anything – like mother, like daughters!

Trail time is the best time.

Trails, spring weather, and run buddies – we couldn’t ask for a better run club on Saturday. These ladies rocked 6+ miles on Wildwood Trail this weekend. Miles, smiles, and sweat with friends is our favorite way to start the weekend!

This week, RUN CLUB IS CANCELED. We’ll be back and running next Saturday on Maple Trail in Forest Park. Join the Flex & Flow Runners Facebook group to connect with all our runners and stay up to date on the run club schedule.

 

Slow it down this weekend.

THIS SUNDAY, Alissa is leading her Slow Flow & Reiki class at 7:15 pm. Join Alissa for this 2-hour session that will involve a slow, warming flow, followed by restorative poses, hands-on adjustments from Sophia, and a personal Reiki treatment from Alissa.

Due to time, space, and energy, this class is open to only 12 guests. This special class is $35. There are still a few spots left – make sure you get yours!

Time to float. 

Join Ian LeMasters on Sunday, 2/18 at 12 pm for a workshop on the art of floating and transitions. Learn how to practice moving from the front to the back of your mat without jumping, while cultivating a deeper awareness of the core and strengthening the whole body. All levels welcome, be ready to play and have fun in your practice! This workshop is $35. Sign up now!
