Weekly Updates: October 10 – 16

by Nicci Randall in Fitness

This week, y’all stayed motivated to get on the mat (and trails) throughout a very busy week and even a big drop in temperature. While we’re all about pushing ourselves and each other to find the edge and even that yoga breakthrough, we also believe that balance is necessary to stay motivated. This week we watched you all push yourselves hard on the mat, but also slow things down with more mellow flows and all the stretches. Trail time On Saturday, the Flex & Flow runners got back on the trails for the first time in a long time. It’s …

We’re SLOWing it down.

by Nicci Randall in Fitness

As the Northern Hemisphere shifts into colder months and we prepare for the rain to come in Oregon, there can be a noticeable shift in our energy levels (think Conservation/Hibernation). Warm, cozy spaces begin to beckon, and you might find it more difficult to get moving. Support the Gorge

On Monday, September 25, we’re asking Portland yogis to come in and do yoga with us and we’ll donate $1 for every yogi who comes to class to Friends of the Gorge. It’s that simple. We’ll have all of our regularly …

What you’ll really learn in HIIT & Flow Teacher Training

by Tasha Henderson in Announcements, Fitness

“Every now and then, say ‘What the fuck.’ ‘What the fuck’ gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity, opportunity makes your future…”  – Miles Dalby, Risky Business. I almost didn’t sign up for HIIT & Flow Teacher Training. Despite it being number one on my “2017 FFY Goals List”, despite telling all my friends and husband that I was planning to do it, despite hounding Jamie about it over the last year, when the time came to sign up for the training, I was overcome with what can only be described as an overwhelming helping of self-doubt, served with a small …
