Gixo 5K Run with Athleta
Are you looking to add more running to your routine? Ever thought of signing up for a race? It’s the perfect way to safely and consistently build strength and endurance so you can run all the miles you want to.
SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, May 5 at 7 AM, and join us at Athleta in the Pearl District to run the Gixo 5K! You can meet us at Athleta at 6:45 AM or at the studio at 6:30 AM and we’ll carpool to the Pearl District. After the race, we’ll enjoy coffee, bagels, and all the shopping at Athleta! Gixo is our favorite workout app (classes every 30 minutes, live coaches, and the chance to workout with friends ANYWHERE) and we can’t wait to be a part of their first-ever virtual race!
Looking to train? We want to train together, no matter where you are. The Gixo team has created a free 6-week training program starting Sunday, March 25 (you can jump in whenever!), that incorporates strength training, speedwork, and recovery classes on their app to ensure we all feel ready to run come race day. Live coaches, their virtual community, and the Flex & Flow runners are here to motivate, push and support you the whole way through.
And remember, we’re in this together! You can always substitute strength and cardio classes on the training plan with HIIT & Flow and Power Vinyasa classes. And be sure to join the Flex & Flow Runners Facebook group to meet up for impromptu runs and strength training sessions in the area.
